Kiwi's up for adoption

I've got an ad in the local newspaper for Kiwi. I've had her for almost two years and that was the point I promised myself that I would decide to keep her or sell her on.

If anyone is interested, she is a 1973 New Zealand import. 1000cc, four speed manual. Very strong engine - excellent oil pressure. During my ownership I've replaced:
  • Turn signal/horn stalk
  • Ignition switch
  • Brake light switch
  • Carpets
  • Radiator
  • Water pump
  • T'stat
  • Heater valve
  • Tires
  • Hubcaps
  • Rear brake cylinders & shoes
I've added:
  • Boot lid cover
  • Bonnet insulation
  • Compact air horn
There is a rust bubble on the driver's door. It has not broken through. I don't know of any other rust problems. The floors are solid as are the subframes.

She's a great driver and is very original. I'm asking $7500. There are more photos in the gallery or at my Photobucket account.

Maybe it will stay in the area.

I had a gentleman look at her Monday evening. Poor old guy was nearly 80 - a snowbird from the U P of Michigan (Yooper). He wanted to add her to his collection of Jaguars and MGs, except he was too stiff to get in the car. He could sit down but couldn't bend his knees and feet enough to swivel in. I could tell that he would have loved her.

UPS air about $2 per pound. Not sure if they would accept a car.

Trailer/carrier move across to the west coast about $800 and $900 to ship across the ocean on a boat.

How did you like that high-mounted mirror, Madoc? Fun Mini - I'm sure she'll find a home very soon!

That's a clip on overtaking mirror. I found that one at Great British Car Parts. The missus was distressed that she didn't have a mirror to "help" me watch where I've been!
