New here, check out my first classic
Well Hey everyone in classic land. I am new here and I just got my first mini, a 1976 Austin. I am in the Cleveland Ohio area so any of you locals please drop me a line. My mini has a rebuilt 998 with a 12g202 unleaded head, kent 256 cam, minispares stage 1 kit, and sits on 10" minilites. I will list more details later.

Nice looking Mini!
Al's a pretty good guy and a long time enthusiast. I sold him one of my prior minis a few years back (so I know he has quality cars-

hey gottamini,
Nice car! Welcome to NAM's classic hangout. Love those 10" GB wheels and simple parcel shelf dash. Don't go and change those-- they're too cool.
Thanks for the pix and if you have more, let's see 'em.

I dont plan on changing the dash, I do want the bigger center binnacle so I have someplace to put a temp and oil preasure guage. Anybody got one? Let me know. The only pics I have right now are all in my gallery.
Hey Homey,
I just finished posting to your name my Mini thread when I jumped around and saw this thread too.
Just a few things we have in commom:
1: We're both from Ohio. Sadly, your still there
2: We both recently aquired Classic Minis. Cool
3: We're both pretty new to NAM
4: We both need help & advice with are new old Minis
5: Your Jon and I'm John
6: Holy Crap, let's move on......
Keep in touch with news about yours and I'll be happy to do the same with mine.

MiniXB - why can't you go? If you like, you can ride up with me and my wife (assuming you can get to Columbus). Heck - I'll let you drive Fiona (my '92) for part of the trip even - I'm sure I'll want to swap off drivers at some point on such a longish drive, and I know that you know your way around a classic.

If I was I'd probably drive BB up there. And I can't drive a stick either so I don't think I'd be any help driving Fiona.
