Okay, I will start here. I did do some searching and found some interesting info.

I have a 1985-92 car (not exactly sure yet)
998 motor lead free head with 4 speed. I want to get good milage and much better performance out of the car. It has the 8.4" discs and decent interior. I am 6'2" and plan to make my own custom brackets for the seats.
From what I have read I will also be doing the steering column drop.
Is there a kit to move the shifter rearward?

What mods would you do and in what order?

My thoughts:
1. stabalizer kit
2. poly bushing kit
2.5 upgrade headlights
3. stage one kit (header, intake, carb needle, k&n)
4. 13" wheels (already have 12x5 should I do 6" or 7")
5. autometer gauges
15. v-tec

Please any help would be great. also where is the best place to buy. I have found gbcars and minimania. Which do you prefer and are there others.

what type of suspension upgrade? coil springs?
What shocks are best?
I plan to run 10's or 12's at the track, but prefer the look of the 13's on the street.

If you run 13" wheels you will need to cut away both the front panels to keep the wheels rubbing the wheel well.

As with wheels, keep the 12's, 13's require a little more power to turn them, as in extra weight.........as in which order to do the upgrades, i would go for comfort first, lighting second, suspension third and engine last.

Heck if comfort is first, then I want an Japanese AC installed in all three of mine. The Texas heat is killing me! Ha ha ha

Im coming out of a euro BMW M3 so straight line performance isnt of major concern. I would like to do some handling upgrades, but I want to keep it from bouncing me all over the place. Is that possible? Looks and reliabability/drivability are my most important items right now. Is there anything else I should be looking for? I think the tie rods have been replaced and lower engine brace looks new. Clutch cylinder looks new and brakes seem to be in good condition. Exhaust is shot though. I want to see if my distributor is points or electronic. Keep the ideas coming.

Got my 1st shipment in and will be installing stuff this week. Stuff to go in: poly stabilizer bushings, New air filter kit, pertronix electronic ignition, short shifter with reverse collar, steering drop, and rod change seal.

Recently done items: made my own seat brackets and moved the seat way back and way down. Now its like driving in a normal car, well, it will be when the bus wheel is lowered. Installed oil/volt/water temp gauges. Found the car to be either a late 88 or early 89 model. I have traced the car back to three owners and still going. Two owners ago did the interior so now I know that the seats came out of a mid 90's Accord.
