The story continues......*argh* I swear that Missouri is bound and determined not to give me plates for my Mini. I got all my paperwork I sent in to get personalized tags and they said all my requests were already assigned to cars. Grrrrr... Now I gotta think of new ones and I don't know what I want to put. Any help is welcome. I put down 77 Mini, Lil One, and Toy Car as my first choices but they said they were taken.
Check to see if your state has an on-line DMV web site that allows you search for available vanity plates. Alabama, believe it or not, has one that allowed me to enter several names I had been thinking about to see if they were already spoken for.

I was shocked to find that too. We're usually 50 years behind on such things. . .
Missouri does have an online search function for custom plates. Try your ideas here.
Oh...I just re-read it after trying 77 MINI (which showed up) and all it does is show you the plate mock up, it doesn't try to verify availability.
I have 78MINI on my Nevada plate to stop people asking what it is.
When I was thinking of plates for my 03, all reasonable variants of BUZZ were already taken.
When I was considering a personalized plate here in Alabama, BIG FUN was available. I eventually kept my $50.00 per year extra and took the random numbers.
