Question about Finding Smoke Tint Film in Chicago

I smoked my rear tail lights and then added a fourth brake light, which is not tinted. I need a piece of smoke film about 4" x 4" but everything I can find online is for $100+ rolls of film, which is way more than I need.

Does anyone know of a place in Chicago (or online) where I can find a small quantity of this tinted smoke film?

Who should I call?

I would try a hoddy store. You can usually get smaller pieces there for model makers. Try Hobby Lobby in the burbs or Tom Thumb in Evanston if your closer to the city.

Excellent idea! That's the kind of creative thinking I was lacking. Thanks!

Taylor,

look at lamin-x.com too. Matter of fact, once i get the 4th brake light done. I'm ordering some film to match my tail lights.

Here's a link to their site.

Paul,

Brilliant! I wonder what the difference between "gunsmoke" and "smoke" is?

FYI - I put in the my AUTO-UP circuit and my PULSAR third-brake light circuit today. Very cool, both.

If I'm not mistaken it's Charcoal and Smoke. One lets 70% of light through and the other 82%. I have the 70% tint on mine.

Pics in Gallery.

Excellent in reference to the auto up and pulsar. I'm going to order the auto up next week. The pulsar light is something I want to see in person, so I'll be looking for you soon enough. I went a tad overboard and ordered the JCW spoiler, front and rear fogs and new toggle panel (the 4th brake light will still work) I know, I know...Bling baby.

Overboard, never knew that was an option.

Wish they made the JCW wing in White. Sure CF is cool but I like my white roof too! Way too much $$$ to buy it and paint it white. Hm, lend it to me so I can pull a mold from it... Just a thought.

Well the tips you can order in Black, White or CF. I went with Black to match the car. It will blend in well. ( I think) lol
