I've been researching to see if I can tackle the job of pulley install myself and it looks a little too involved so I decided to start looking for a place. I really wanted to stay away from the dealership but I cant seem to find a shop that will do it for a good price.

I checked with Rennology and they quoted me $465 just for labor. I've been reading posts of people who paid $200-$300 tops. Any suggestions?

I don't want to take it to a general mechanic who doesn't know a thing about Minis.

Fluid quoted me "around 3-4 hours" @ $97 per hour. Does that sound like a fair price? I thought I'd be $250 at most.

I just ordered my pulley/belt... where did you get yours installed... and who is this mysterious "Rich"... did he do the install for you? how do I find him? How much does he cost?

I'll have to track down his number, I have it written down at work someplace.

He'll have to quote you a price for your car. That would be the best way.
