Mini of Grand Rapids is going to attempt to break a world record for the “Largest Parade of MINI Cooper cars”. The attempt is sometime in August so we have time to plan. Good luck! The '09 London To Brighton convoy is a Guinness recorded world record of 1450 Minis. Sorry, but I can't help any further than this. SotaMINI does a run from New London to New Brighton but with not quite that many units.

I should have left Thursday night also. Instead I'm leaving Friday morning-ish.

I read somewhere there is a group leaving Grand Rapids about 1:00 on Friday. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw it. For those going up Thursday, do we have a recommended hotel? Also, do we know where we are meeting on Friday?

Haven't figured out where we are staying Thrusday night yet.. Will be leaving after work on Thrusday, but not sure of the time yet.

I just got summoned for Jury Duty on Monday which messes up our original plans for heading home. Not sure if we will leave Saturday night and go partway or do a longer haul home on Sunday.

 

We are heading to Grand Rapids after work Thursday and staying at a Holiday Inn Express in Walker (Northwest side of GR).

Our plan is to leave in the AM so we can explore the Mackinaw area after registration.

We'll leave from the Starbucks on Alpine Ave, just north of 96 at 9:30 AM.
