I met my first non waver the other day. I was driving around my town (Morris) and at a stop sign, I turned on that street, smiled and gave a wave. I think the guy looked at me like I was stupid or something. He was driving a CR/W S. Guess he doesn't know that we like to wave at each other.

 

Anyone regularly park their DS/W MCS on the NW side streets near Ashland and Chicago Ave?

I always wave to your car as I pass, but as its parked with noone in it, the wave usually goes unnoticed. My gf lives near there, so I park around the corner (on Pierson). I have a BRG/W w/W wheels and bonnet stripes.

 

I wish I was the one whose MINI you are waving at... but it's not me. Im always parked in Naperville :smile:

 

Ah! Then I'd recommend taking a drive through Lincoln Park if you're ever passing through the city. There are Mini's EVERYWHERE and their drivers are very friendly.

 

Wow! I'm very close to that area, but I either park in my spot or behind my fence. I'm at Huron and Noble...I'll keep my eye out for you!

Spied a Sweeeet MCS parked (aka "at rest&quot in vicinity of Des Plaines (office?) Tower the evening of Monday the 19th. BRG/BRG, sunroof, "reality... what a concept" sticker. Hung out a while (MINI stake out), but no humans appeared...
I shoulda left you a note...

I saw an excellent looking silver MCS with the checkerboard flag roof down by the river and East Bank Club in Chicago. Very cool look.

 

I regularly see a yellow and white Cooper parked on Division just West of Damen and yesterday I saw a great looking Indie Blue MCS tearing East on the 290, which I was jelous of, as anyone who drives the Ike knows there are few opportunities for anything other than stop and go!

I live in the Schaumburg area and just started working in Des Plaines near O'Hare. I hardly ever see any Minis going to and from work, so if anyone is driving through that area, be sure to wave!! I have an 04 Electric Blue MCS.

I only take my mini out on the weekends, but I'll be out on the look out
for your car. Im near Schaumburg...I pass by there usually around 3:30pm
every sat and sun when sunny during my usual 2hour spin.
Coming down Roselle from Central, always make a left onto Golf, pass
PatrickMINI, make a zipping right turn onto PlumGrove, then im gone.

Spotted an electric blue MCS heading north on PlumGrove RD in
Schaumburg, IL at around 8:15am. Blond lady behind the wheel. :smile:

I was in my silver civic sedan so... you definitely didn't notice

I'd be up for some MINI cruising. I live only few minutes away in Palatine.

 

2perCooper- Yes, I think so...probably pull my car out around 2:30pm and
back home by 4:30pm. I usually drive through Arlington Hts, Palatine,
Barrington, and back.

I spotted 2 MINI's this morning!!!
I am in a silver civic during the commute so undetectable by MINI-ers.
I kinda like this stealth spy-mode.

I live in Park Ridge, i was actually in Palatine yesterday!

 

mine will be the indi blue MCS w black roof in the barrington/hoffman estates area, probably going too fast and turning hard.

Does anyone want to meet up in the Schaumburg area to cruise around? Im thinking thats the most central place considering all of us. If so, Im down for a nice cruise on a what looks to be a sunny saturday afternoon!!

Here's a few MINI's i've spotted recently:

Dark silver always parked by Argyle/Chinatown Area.

BRG going East on Lawrence which took a left on Broadway. Car seemed to be packed in the back with some stereo equipment or something of the like.
