All,

Looking to upgrade the HiFi in my 2008 MINI, but believe it is a little bit over my head . I have all of the hardware, ie speakers, amp, sub, etc. just need someone in the Chicagoland area that has experience with the MINI HiFi. Does anyone know of HiFi Biz or person that you would suggest?

Yeah...there has to be some stereo shop doing upgrades on the crappy sounding R56 sound systems. They would make a fortune if they did!

I can't recommend a shop off hand. However, I would call Crutchfield and ask them for a recommended installer. Their customer service is excellent.

 

Hi. My boyfriend is in that field. He works as a tech at a pro shop, he also does side work. He is currently working on my MINI, if you are interested, I can let him know, to see what he could do for you. He has been doing this for 10 years. ABT electronics, very expensive but the best
This is one of the largest and best electronics stores,and they don any kind of car audio install. Any famous person in Chi town get their cars done by them (you'll see the photos when you walk in of all the Bulls, Bears players and so on)

The owner has a MCS and is here on the forum. His name is Dan, but I don't remember his NAM user name. I had great experience with him, and anything that is not part of regular maintanance or warranty I do with him.

Thank you so much for replying to my question on the board. Your boyfriend did a fabulous job - I LOVE MY HiFi upgrade. The D3's our crisp up front, the amp looks perfect under the passenger seat and the sub, what can I say about the sub - WOW!! Great job, I highly recommend Cesar.

Now what I want is just the box that makes my floor in the car flat when I fold the seats and covers small crap I usually carry like the tire inflater and snow brush (yes I know its summer )
