So I had a tire rolling down the middle of 495 hit my front bumper & cracked it on the passenger side...looks fine, but bothers me....I'm thinking of putting on the one from the aero kit....where'd be a good place to get it painted locally?

What did you think of the work crAshburn did for you Krut?

Sucks....but gives me a good reason to put the aero kit on.
Guess I'll check out Royal when I get back from Houston.

So I go to CrAshburn Collision today to drop off the car - Chad (now eternally know as Chaf) had the gall to tell me the following:

"OH you live in the District! You're going to get a lot of stone chips! Lots of dump trucks!

When I pointed out the mismatched quarter panel, the ill-fitting chrome trim piece and the misaligned hood causing chipping on the fender and all the numerous paint chips on the hood with no primer showing beneath - I hope they realized that the job was half-assed.

Of course when I mentioned that I was told to drop off the car today - Chaf copped an attitude and said I needed to bring it back next week.

Frigging body shops.

I like Zamora's out in Rockville MD on Gudy. My brother went to high school with the owner. But I have been also told by others that they do good work. I have not had someone I recommended call me and say the work was bad. They are usually busy so it can take a week or so to get the car in.

It's back from CrAshburn - it cost them supposedly $4,000 in paint and body work. I find that cost highly suspect. It does look a lot better.

I would never use Zamora's I had a 1991 VW GTi 16v - insurance paid for a new rear bumper cover, they fixed the rear bumper cover. I was pissed and they basically lied to me. When I asked them to show me the old bumper cover, they pulled up a red bumper cover from another car. Slightly shady - don't know if their practices have changed.
