Alden - how did you mount the ScanGauge? I have one and have a little 'L' mount for it...it's not clear how it goes on the dash.

Dan...I meant to ask you the other day. How did you change the tailights on the new STI? I saw a post you had them painted...they look fantastic!! We need this same for the OEM lights on the MINI's (the R53 has an interior chrome bezel).

A little known secret. I call it velcro

I don't have any pics of where I put it. It's where the two pieces of the top of the dash meet, placed as far left as it will go.

Haha...you gotta stick it in the crack

on the serious side. I didn't get an "L" bracket. I just put it directly on the dash directly behind the the crack where the 2 dash pieces meet. I think it's in a good place. It's out of direct line sight but still viewable with a quick glance to the left towards the A-pillar.

No laughing at you here. Not yet anyway. Just kidding.

What CAI's and Cat-backs are you putting on?

Megan Racing cat-backs... they have a nice British burble without being obnoxiously loud.

And the CAIs are from Way Motor Works/DDM... had a ride in a Cooper with this intake at MOTD and it seemed to add a few horses and it also created a nice, deep, throaty growl. Is it possible to make a Cooper sound mean ? We'll see on Thursday.

I beg your pardon, Sir ?!!? That exhaust was made in downtown London by purebred English maidens who were sipping tea and eating crumpets in between each and every new exhaust system they made.

Taiwain....

Hey, those Taiwainese must at least speak with a British accent.

you know that thing that happened to me in the Jeep way back? Still not resolved. If I could deliver a punch in the face over IP (PiFoIP), I would.

You're still haggling with them over your claim ? What's the hold up ??

And you think it's in Taiwan or Hong Kong... I'm telling you that exhaust was made in LONDON !!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ah yes, pre-existing condition. That can get messy. Might even require an IME (independent medical examination). Hope you get some movement on that claim soon but I'll warn you... could end up taking several more months.

I know. I already filed with my own carrier so that's good. It's the deductible I'd like to see back. If they don't reuimburse, I'll file for it in small claims.

$500 pays for my new suspension on the Jeep

Sorry, Kurt... you know it's not a real thread if it doesn't get side-tracked at least five times. That's one !

My first mod ( thanks to PGT ) was the JCW exhaust.

The second was the JCW CAI to get more air for mod #1.

Then came the strut tower brace, and the next mod is the sway bar that I need to install.

Then I bought a big jar of calamine to calm the MOD itch that I have be scratching

See ya, B.

Brian makes it look easy.....he's got access to a lift. The rest of us have to get intimate with the floor and slide on under the car to get things done.
