Big news for the PUB 6/6/09 Cleveland! COOL!

How cool is this? I just hired a national Beatles tribute act "ABBY ROAD" for the PUB Mini meet in Rocky River, Ohio 6/6/09.

These guys are fanatastic and play all over the country in fact they are on their way to play in Indoniesia (which I think is way east of Lake county). They do the costume changes and the accents and all we gotta do is go "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".

Anyone with a Mini who misses the PUB '09 is gonna miss the party of the year!

WOW! Impressive!

Can't wait! Just invited a few friends the other day when I found out about it.

The last Pub meet was my first and only MINI meet I've ever gone to, and I was hooked! Can't even imagine who great this will be.

I think a few of us from "down south" are going to make a run from Columbus this year to join you. Sounds like a great time

I represent (I mean resent) that Lake County comment.

Are you going to make a new flier with the band info included on it?

Pets allowed at the PUB??

well they did let Bob in the last two years.......seriously, my guess is out in the barking, er, I mean parking lot surfs up on animules. However, the patio(much less the bar) is likely verboten as food is being served and the state of Ohio is funny about that sort of thing, silly health codes and that sort of tripe. Otherwise, I'd have Meeko Mowse there. She's gonna get stiffed from the PUB three years in a row!

Good question JDMD!

I though about new flyers myself as the BEATLES band would be a great draw. However, Thom already printed 300 for me (of which I've passed out about 50!) and pinning down Bob when he's not playing ice cornhole is another thing.

You better believe when I put them in someone's hand I'm telling them about ABBEY ROAD!

Pets at Pub

Thank you for the reply. I didn't think they would allow pets inside or near the food as required by law, but was only inquiring concerning the "barking" area. Thanks again. Tom

Ok, what kind of bike do you have?

I've got a 1994 BMW R1100RSL that gets parked right next to my MINI in the garage.

Yea, I had it tuned up late last year for a "last run" to the mountains of NC. That was stupid... (not tuneup but the ride in Nov.)

I don't think my rear end can last that for that long of a trip. I think Mike would be ok if he were to get a back rest. We heard good things about Mustang seats-are you familiar with them at all? Our bike is due for service too-recall for something to with the gas tank I think-yikes! And have you ever been to Shade Tree in Middlefield area-great place for service and parts...

Yes, I know the brand. Not bad for daylong riding. I will say this... No matter what you hear about Corbin... Run don't walk away... Had one for my ZR7, was like sitting on a 2x4 for the 25,000 miles I put on it.

I usually go there with a certain part in mind (tires, etc) Never had them do anything more than change a tire out for me.) If you want really good service try Riders Choice (in South Euclid). I like those guys...

Thanks for the tip on the Corbin-we are saving our pennies and a new seat is at the top of the list. Where is the place in So. Euclid? My parents used to have a restaurant on So. Green & Monticello...

Right around the corner from there. Not sure the street, but you could throw a baseball to green and Monticello. I used to live about 1/4 mile South of there on Green. http://riderschoicecleveland.com/

Was sitting in my public relations class today and, during a lecture on event promotion, thought to myself: I wonder if anyone has thought to contact the local media?

So, has anyone contacted any local papers, news stations, radio stations to promote and cover the event? I may write a few e-mails and see if we can't get some coverage! Could possibly bring in more $$ for the charity and reach MINI owners who wouldn't normally be aware of the event.

Last year the Plain Dealer sent a reporter. However, they never ran an article.

I just spoke with Greg and he said if you would like to volunteer to contact the media it would be wonderful. He had planned to but was waiting until he returned from the Dragon. If you do contact media please make a post so that we don't all hit up the same people.
