Have you hooked up with 85NIXMIN - is that one of the familiar names? She's been getting the Queensland clubMINI active again this year I gather.

 

Not as yet, I do recognise the name though Not sure how much time I'm going to have to be active in clubMINI unfortunately, I'm a member in another marquee car club that I've not had time to make it to an event in the last 18 months :O

New member here, although I have joined up for some time now :D
Bought my first R56 mini cooper chilli back in 07, so joined up to the forum then to do a lot of reading. Recently I have just purchased my new beast.
It's a 2011 built, 2011 registered Factory LCI JCW, Challenge Edition. It's Pepper White with Black roof, 18" black rims, carbon fibre scoop, rear diffuser and boot lid thingy, also has the full aero kit.
The car is fantastic and the sound track is Blardi awesome. Loving the pops and burbles, it sure does turn a lot of heads when just cruising in 2nd gear.

So just thought I would pop in to say hi and that i'm looking forward to maybe meeting up one day for a cruise.

I'm in the Victorian branch of clubMINI, but if you want to join in with other MINI people for drives and stuff, I can put you in touch with the Perth and Newcastle/Sydney clubs. Just let me know.

 

Some of us adoptees are still floatin' around here occationally. Yep, I'm an Australiaphile livin' in NE Florida (really SE Georgia but that's another story). Tit gave me the NAMAHAC number 59 back on 9/29/06. My posts in this thread start at #315 so checkout the gator with koala breath.

I'm new to this place so don't haven't set my eyes on the calendar yet.

I'd be keen to be put in touch with the Sydney/Newcastle clubs. Sure wouldn't hurt to know a few other local mini owners. My current task is trying to suss out how to get a spare key without paying my local dealer $500-$800 for just the key.

I'm jealous! I love it in the Eastern states. I've a few really good friends in Florida and Tennessee and visit every opportunity my finances (and work) allow.
