Actress - Xu Weilun involved in Mini Cooper Crash - Taiwan

I found this from a friend who follows the news in Taiwan - I guess she's an
actress from Taiwan that was involved in a very serious accident.
The mini cooper she was in supposedly the driver side and passenger side airbags did not completely deploy. She critical condition due to the accident. I can't read Chinese so thats all I know - but here are some of the photos & the links (all in chinese).

Oh my..... I can read Chinese, basically, the whole article said she is in a real bad critical condition... And at the end it said the chance for her to survive is very minimal... They have to wait for miracle.

I was in Taiwan 2 years ago, in some area, people drive like they are playing video game or racing Nascar... No one care the road signs, in some roads, there is no indicate of one way or 2 way... And some drive very very dangerously...

I wish she will be fine soon, hope god will not take back this young life so early...

Yikes! But I would not expect the front airbags to fire when rearended at any speed, even as here by a giant Hino Motors cabover truck.

in the 2nd link, it states that she was on a particularly steep downhill slope.... even with no throttle input, in 4 km, a car can reach over 120km, 4km of roads that drops about 250 feet, you can gain some SERIOUS speed if people aren't using gears to hold their car from losing control, furthermore, from skidmarks of the area... its shown (in the 2nd article), that the truck driver was obiviously holding alot of mass, and not heeding speeding limits, and cops, and was likely going faster than legal limit down the hill when it collided with the mini

the probe talked about whether she was actually wearing a seatbelt... whether it loosened during the accident, she never had it on in the first place, or she loosened it after the accident then lost conscienousness.... its up for debate

hope she gets through this! like richard hammond did!
