know if MINI korea will honor the manufacturers warranty from the states? I'm pretty sure the maintenance will not transfer but will the basic powertrain warranty?

Just bought an 06 last November and have 1400 miles on it. My wife is military and got a command sponsored slot for me at Osan but I dont want to lose the warranty.

The warranty needs to be transfered to MINI Korea and the warranty will be for 2 years since you are 'exporting" the MINI to another country.

Not to worry.....MINI Korea has great service.

Drop me a PM sometime. If you get up to Seoul I can show you where the dealer is. And if you are thinking of modding I can show ya a great tuner shop too.

There are only 5 American MINI owners here but are over 1200 MINIs on the road. There are 2 nice MINI clubs too so I hope you are not a stranger for track events and trips.
