Mini waves, honks, light flashing

Here in Korea Mini owners (Korean) don't wave, honk, light flash at or to other Mini drivers. Seems to me that a majority of the Korean Mini owners only get them as expensive toys and are not up to speed on the Mini culture yet. But there are now 3 American Mini owners on the pennisula . Hoping to meet up with them so we can attend the Korean ClubMini events next year.

Unfortunately, I think the friendly waves and hellos have started to wane here in the states. My belief is that those of us who are passionate about MINI's still make the effort, (I know that I still do), but there are more and more of those people out there who don't share our point of view. Maybe they just wanted to drive a cool car, but don't want to be in any kind of social "club" or grouping, so to speak...

Every time I see a MINI pass me, I'm waving, or flashing my lights. And I can't tell you the last time I got any reply whatsoever. It is quite disheartening.

So, I urge each and every one of you to continue waving. Let's try to revitalize this exchange of friendliness. Don't give up!

Based on where I live, I'd have to agree w/ this assessment. Very few return a wave any more...but some of the diehard early owners I see are still loopy enough to carry on the tradition.

same here.... i guess after about 100 waves and no reply you lose the spirit of waving (at least that's with me, but at least i try to race next to one, see if i can get a reaction)
