We'll be there, but probably not in a convoy of other cars. Going to spend a day with the inlaws in Pahrump, then come in Thursday morning. In fact we'll probably go out of our way to take Hwy 395 to 168, then into NV. Becky's parents tell us I-15 through Baker is a mess with construction. So we might hook up with Nik and Debbie B in Bishop, CA.

Ya, I did get addicted to Facebook Risk (still am) and am the admin of our Ontario Club now, planned, organized and had our first club calendar produced. That was more of a make work project than I wanted it to be...

But I am back, and will be posting more (that's the plan anyways)

We will be there. Wife and I will be bringing new and old. My 2002 MCS and her 2008 Clubman S. shhh, mine is still better!

I seriously hope the MINI nation is not effected by the economic downturn too much and can join the rest in Vegas.

Stay well and stay employed!

Do the custodians of Homeland Security take kindly to Canadians bring beer across the line? They took me to task when my kid had a banana in her hand once. They threatened to have me arrested if I didn't take it away from her and throw it away.

Some things are just better left unsaid, or unseen!

Beer is ok, but fruits, veggies, meat, breads are not allowed.. I had a customs official (USA) yell at me and ask to see what was in the McDonald's bag I had on the psgr seat once... He asked if there was a burger in it. I said there was, but now (scottish accent) "It's in my belly!"

he sort of chuckled at that, but I still had to show him the bag and flatten it to prove nothing was inside of it...

Part of our Heritage

(this is a spoof of some "A Part of our Heritage" Canadian pride commercials, Rick Mercer is our John Stewart)

One cannot underestimate the immense, destructive power of the McDonalds Hamburger!
