How was AMVIV?
How was AMVIV?
Or is this a "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" type of thing
. The weekend is over, take asprin for your hangovers, jump on NAM and tell us the skinny. I wish I could have attended, but that little thing called employment got in the way

Lots of fun, but not lots of pics...
had about 288 Cars. The kickoff Dinner hosted by C3 Cooper Club for Charities) raised money for Cure Autism Now. The car runs were fun...
We had the whole top floor of the parking garage, and needed almost all of it.... I figure we had about $5,000,000 dollars worth of Coopers up there... When we started up all the cars, you could see people in the hotel windows looking down at all the cars.
Sorry I am not a great photographer, but it was fun !!!!
I will definitely go back for next years event... People came from Seattle, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, and of course Nevada, Arizona, and California.

I had a great time (of course, I'm biased towards the event
).
I'll be posting pics and a write-up on the AMVIV site in the next week or so. Have to recover a little 1st, and sort through the 300 or so pics I took, plus whatever pics people send me at AMVIV2@gmail.com
The run counts were:
Hoover Dam - about 60 cars left Palace Station, we picked up a couple on the run.
Mount Charleston - about 70 cars left Palace Station.
Red Rock - about 70 cars left Palace Station, we picked up a couple on the run.
Strip Cruise - about 105 cars left Palace Station, we picked up a couple and lost a couple during the drive.
Valley of Fire - we didn't count how many cars left Palace Station, but we counted about 70 at the Visitor Center parking lot.
I'm also going to put up a survey so we can get likes and dislikes from the event, and hopefully some constructive criticism.

I had an awesome time too and the c3 dinner was the best!!! Ok, I'm biased towards that too since we hosted that.
Full stats on the the money raised will be available soon, along with a writeup about our dinner. I also shot VacuCam footage at the Hoover Dam, the Poker Run, and the Glitter Gulch to the Strip night cruising run. Most of it turned out pretty well. Clips will be posted on NAM in the Camera/Video section over the next few weeks.
You can see some video stills as well as a few shots I took with my Nikon point and shoot camera.

AMVIV2 was *tons* of fun. It was great to get together with a bunch of other Mini-addicts . Kinda like a large-scale support group.
The C3 dinner was great and in the first raffle I've ever won, I scored the new M7 AGS. Booyah! My wife and I are looking forward to the next event. Keep up the great work Richard!

That picture was *awesome*. I've been e-mailing the link to everybody<g>. I've already saved it as my backdrop on my laptop and have it open in a separate window, so I can look at it throughout the day. Thank you *very* much. I really appreciate you taking the time to snap the photo and upload it onto your website. Can you post the picture here? Look forward to seeing you at another event!

It was nice meeting you all and putting faces with screen names. Thanks for all the feedback on the new products and we will be putting your suggestions into the works. Anybody know if that one mini owner was followed home by Homeland security?

Awww, Fracky, I missed you!!! Did we talk?? I talked to so many different people, but I don't remember seeing you.
Congrats on the M7 AGS! I think it meshes perfectly with all the super cool mods you already have!
Thanks for the nice words, but to put credit where it's due, the c3 dinner was really made possible by Linda, James, Clover, Toshi, Matthew, myself and all the selfless volunteers who helped us make the night a success!!!

Just got home this evening! (Visited sis & her hubby in Arizona on the way there as well as on the way back from AMVIV-2!)It was SO much fun seeing everyone, and MANY MANY thanks to all the nice people who attended the Kick-Off Dinner at the Hofbrauhaus on Friday night. Loved meeting y'all!

Major props to Agro, Donovan and Sin City MINIs for organizing a fun meet and for choosing Palace Station as the event hotel. We had a great room on the "14th" floor ( really the 13th....
), overlooking the parking area for all our MINIs!One of my favorite moments: looking out the hotel room onto the parking lot and seeing folks detailing their MINIs at midnight on Thursday night! That was AWESOME! And so funny!

Hope everyone had fun and a safe trip home.

I saw a few other dogs, as well. I figure they belonged to local Vegas MINIacs!

I had a great time and I loved seeing and being with all those MINIs! Kudos to Sin City MINI, C3, and everyone who helped make it happen. My motoring buddy and I hadn't seen the new Vegas yet, so we skipped a few of the events to explore--hope to make it to another AMVIV to take in more of the group runs and get to know more of the MINI folks.
