Have you removed your toggle graphics yet? When I removed mine, the printing flaked off horribly.

Also, I'm guessing that you got yours for free from this site:

http://minispygear.com/#

The spy-toggle is still available for free from that site.

It's one of MINI's official sites. The only thing on that site that you can actually get is the MINI cloaking devise. They have your VIN already, so it's not like it's going to get used improperly. Probably just to make sure you can't get lots of copies (one per car kind of thing).

Your vin number is sitting in plain sight on your dashboard. What can you imagine someone doing that your insurance company would not pay for? If there was a serious risk from displaying vin numbers, insurance companies would make sure that they were kept private.

A couple of years ago there was a scare, maybe urban legand, about folks getting your vin when you left your car in the long term parking lot, going to the dealer, getting a key made from the vin, and taking your car. Lots of vin #'s were covered with paper, gloves, etc.

Sorry

Per site guidelines a price has to be listed.

FYI you can indeed still order these from the site listed above, I just did

You do realize that in about 20 minutes I could collect 50+ vin numbers from a parking lot. The VIN's are displayed on the drivers side of the car near the windshield. .

I'm fairly sure you can't just walk into a dealership with a list of 20 VIN's and have them make you keys. They're going to ask for SOME form of ID. Not to mention the car isn't going to remain parked in said parking lot for the 2-3 weeks it takes to get a key laser cut from Germany .

Paraynoia is silly .

...Try entering it in ALL CAPS, and make sure that scripting is allowed.

Just a heads-up - I got the spy toggle switch panel and none of them worked. Well the photon blasters did, but they proved too dangerous.

The remote on one of my keys stopped working, and I had to provide the dealer with a copy of the title to send to MINI before they could provide me with a new key. I don't think anyone has to worry about someone else ordering a key to your car.
