I also bought a set from New MIni Stuff, they're not yet sold in the USA, for my 2006 JCW MCS and if memory serves me correctly it was about $170.00 including shipping after adjusting for currency fluctuations.
That's very close in price to what you would pay stateside for stock lights.
By the way it's a great look on the 05's and 06's and not a lot of people have made the change.
Hey Edge: The LIGHTS are subtle, I'll grant you that...
but four decals, two badges, a rear fog, a custom plate, a Let's motor plate frame and twin Sportlink machine guns?!?

Hahaha - point taken. I started off with a very conservative intent (although the JCW, sport link and Let's Motor plate frame have all been there since the start), and it blossomed a bit from there.
I don't intend to add anything more to the rear view, although I've considered the JCW spoiler (custom painted to all Hyper Blue... no carbon fiber look for me!).
I picked up some used '05 lights from Fireballed for like $65. I plan to crack them open and de-chrome and do some 'customization'. w00t for donor parts in case your work sucks!
I have the euro taillights with the amber lenses like Edge. The difference is not subtle when the bulb is lit. Of course the color is amber instead of red , but also it lights up as a circle instead of the funky crescent shape of the US turn signal. I think I paid about $150 shipped for the amber version in 2005.
It is also available with a clear turn lens (uses an amber bulb), which costs $10-$15 more. In Europe, clear lens was standard for S and amber lens for Cooper/One. This is Gabe's car with the clear version from MotoringFile (Gabe's review):
The std bulb should just be a regular white bulb. Therefore, with amber lenses you should be good to go. It's when you get the clear lens that you need to replace the white bulb with an amber one
Will I need any new bulbs for the euro taillights with the amber turn signal? Or can I simply reuse what I have?
The euro taillights come complete with bulbs.
If you get the clear lens version, it comes with an amber turn bulb, which also makes the lens look amber (see Gabe's review). You'd replace it with a silvered or LED bulb to make the lens look white.
