FS: Mini cooper R50/R53 Alpine 9887 AUDIO update

Hi everyone

I was about to put a monster system in my 04 CooperS, but decided to go after a BMW 135i instead. In doing so, I have a nice audio upgrade kit that I was about to use for sale. All was bought from crutchfield in Feb of 08. Crutchfield is an authorized alpine dealer, and though they wouldn't take it back, they feel it would be covered under their authorized warranty as long as I provided the sales docs, which I will do.

Here's what I have, and what I paid. I have not even opened these items. This is for sale as a package for now. Pictures to follow later tonight:

If you were to buy these on ebay, you'd pay $300 for the deck, and $150 or so for the associated sirius /ipod stuff, and another $75 for the install stuff.

Looking to get $450 shipped for this: You will end up with an amazing 9987, with fully integrated steering wheel controls, ipod hookup, and sirius.

I also have, at an additional price, one set of CDT 6.5" separates, I will throw in for $50.00, with MDF rings. These are very nice two way speakers with separate crossovers.

I'm considering ebaying the generic stuff and just offering the Mini specific stuff here. Anyone have any thoughts / feedback?

I'm interested

Why does it say Volkswagon wire harness?

Also, if you're replacing the factory head unit why does the iPod adapter say '06-up?

Thanks for the post.

1) VW wire harnesses are the rosetta stone with stereo interfaces. I used the same harness on my Lotus Elise and my old Subaru STi.
2) the ipod adapter is for Alpine head units, made 06 and newer, has nothing to do with the mini.

Let me know if you need any more info or pics. I am very close to breaking this up, but as this is everything a mini owner needs less amps/rca's (if you choose to go the amped route) I thought I would post it here and give my mini brothers and sisters a chance first before ending up with mini related install hardware.

I might be interested in the speakers if you'd be willing to separate them
will they fit the rear?

Bummer, I guess you decided to part it out anyway. Oh well, I guess I should have asked.

With some adaptation they would, they would better fit the front.

OK, all that remains is the Sirius tuner/adapter and the CDT's with MDF adapters.

These are the speakers, $50+ship

I will probably just ebay the sirius tuner and parts, it's not really mini related. Thanks, and sorry for maybe not handling this the cleanest.
