I need to find a totaled 02-04 car to buy parts off of cheap. If anyone knows of one please let me know. If not close to me in California maybe someone can take the parts I need and ship them to me. I need driver side door lock motor, power steering pump, and one other thing that I will get the name of later for me 02 MC.

Another source is insurance auctions. Go to https://www.iaai-bid.com/aucsearchbyveh.aspx I bought a '03 Mustang Cobra from them that had been wreck. They have everything. And, good for you, the state of CA doesn't require you to be a salvager or dealer to buy a totalled car like most states do. Use the "other make" drop down box when selecting manufacture. Good Luck,

I think they only want to find a junked MINI to pull some parts from, not to rebuild it or anything. Since the parts he asked for arn't usually the kind you take off.

 

Jeremy is right. I only want to pull parts. My 02 is having some typical problems that are very expensive to fix. Thanks for the info though. I will look at both places.

If you go to car-part.com, you can see junk yards that have the parts you are looking for. MINI is listed under BMW Mini Cooper. It looks like 4 or 5 places have a power steering pump in California.

 

Yeah, you can't see the other pics they take, it used to be free. It's an auction, so there are no prices on the website.
