trekking over to Atlanta one Saturday to check out the 07's in person & test drive one? I don't have a day picked out at all but one Saturday I am going to head over there. If anybody else wants to go let me know
Hey TT!
Hayley and I are having a trek to Nashville March 11th, 1) to go see Paolo Nutini in concert and 2) to have a fun overnighter and 3)to get my broken glove box fixed.
We'll be sure to check out the '07's while there

Probably so. I don't think they will be too gungho on letting me testdrive if they don't at least think I am interested

Sat in one. Nice redwood leather, but the beige with wood trim looked keen too. Not an R56 owner, I don't know the official terms and haven't learned them yet.
The shift **** doesn't top off like a sphere, but has this hollow concave thing going on. I like the glove box release, and the extra space for the accelaration leg. Didn't turn on all the lights, so I didn't get to work the radio. Remember your first impression of the MINI's interior, in that all the plastic seemed kinda cheap? Wow! They've really taken that to another level.
Didn't get to drive one, really didn't have the time or consider taking the effort. I was there for service. (3 tasks, all done right. Score one for Global this round) but the new MINI area has it's own service line which pulls up right on the end of the building there. That's very nice. (Black painted lane with yellow striping, very MINI).Plus both my invoice and car id tag number ended with an "84".
Perused the lot and saw some nice colors. What's that Metallic (gunmetal) Gray with bonnet stripes? That was nice. But the bonnets seemed kind of deflated. Less personality. Sorry.
Not very MINI was the banner which greeted me, and visible from 285. "New Minis starting at $199 a month". They did have a nice row of them by the globe. Couldn't detect a bonnet difference from that distance.

I wish you could have driven one Louis. One day I will make it over to ATL to check em out myself. I dunno what the grey color is. I know there is a new color called Sparkling Silver
They had a yellow lightning bolt model on the floor too. It would have been nice to drive one, yes. And judging by the inventory I'm sure they'd have been very accommodating if I'd posed as a potential buyer.
Yeah, I know- missed opportunity and all. Everybody loves dealing with Global right?
I was just happy to have my car all fixed and ready to leave by the time our nearby seminar broke for lunch. Work brought me very near the dealership, and I got stuff done they can't do on the weekend. I was satisfied with that, darn right.

His shades can't be seen that well.
