Hello everyone! It's that time of year and I will once again be selling beautiful, embroidered MOTD 9 patches to benefit our charity, the Graham County Food Bank.



This year's patch is in beautiful Bright Yellow in honor of the Countryman. Patches are 3.5 inches, full embroidered with a plastic coating on the back for iron-on applications. Patches are $5 each and $1 for shipping, envelopes and PayPal fees.

This is a great fundraiser and in past years it has raised some of the largest amounts donated to charity. I'm very proud of that and you should be too!

Also available are MOTD Veteran pins and some other MOTD stuff. Payment is preferred through PayPal but if you want to send a check just PM me and we'll work it out. I plan to ship all orders out in mid April so those who want to sew their patches on jackets and other things will have time. Order deadline for the patches is April 1. The other items will be available until they're gone.

Patches from 2006 and earlier are $1 each. All others are $5. I'm updating the ordering page and adding the patches from previous years.

About 40 patches have been sold so far. Ten more and I can order the 100 patch minimum.

For those who placed orders for Veteran patches and pins and domed badges, I sent a bunch of orders out on Saturday. So watch your mailbox. If you ordered a MOTD 9 patch those will ship out a couple weeks before the event.

I have been collecting the patches since Jack started having them made. They represent all the MOTD I have been to and they are still not on a jacket. Could someone post a picture of their jacket, vest or shirt with patches sewn on. I am looking for ideas.

So what do you guys do with all your patches?
I saw someone had theirs laying in the rear hatch to be viewed from the rear window. This is what talked me into buying one... I had no idea what I'd do with it before that.

 

I bought this shirt from a dealer in 2004. It seemed like a good place to put my patches. Getting a bit gaudy as I have added a number of patches on the back.

 

when is this trip to the dragon? and where do i get some info on it

 

Here's mine from last year. Both my sleeves are full now and I have some on the back too (patches from other events, Dragon, Cherohala, Hellbender, etc). So I will be starting on the front this year.

I made a MINI themed picnic blanket (a blanket that folds up, zips together and can be used as a tote bag). I put my patch (along with some others) on the front when it is converted to a tote bag.

Last call for MOTD patches. With advance orders for about 50 I will be placing the order for the minimum of 100. So far 661 people are registered so I'm guessing the remaining 50 will be gone fast. If you want one the best way is to order it in advance.

 

All patches from the pre-order have been shipped, so start watching your mailbox if you ordered one. They should start arriving mid-week. Only about 15 patches remain and they will be first come, first served at Fontana.
