Is Musty, Stinky, Odor Gone

OK, Just curious for F66 owner observations. Coming from a 2017 F56 MCS (to a 2026 F66 JCW) I frequently had a stinky, musty, acrid odor emanating from the vents upon the next startup after using the AC. All research said it was caused by the cabin air filters wicking up condensate and growing what ever makes the stink. Its been awhile now since this new platform has been introduced and wondering if any owners are experiencing this problem. So the question is - Has this been solved ?

Change the cabin filter more often, i also get the ones that have active carbon, we seen a bunch of people get these. I dont think i have seen a solve for it. I have it on start up from cold to hot season and vice versa and then it goes away on my R52 and R58.

Well I have always used the charcoal / carbon whatever ones and my filters were always well attended to. Always happened anyways, a definite design screwup on the F56. I know plenty of vehicles that do not share this stinky problem, it should not happen, period.
But my question is, does this problem carry over to the F66.

It's good if they eliminated that problem. My 2023 Countryman does NOT have it either.

Just to clarify...... I had this problem in my 2017 F56 MCS but as yet, I DO NOT have this problem with the 2026 F66 JCW. Just wondering if this is an up and coming issue. I just got the JCW in October 2025 so I haven't used AC yet.
