I know some people here modificated their MINIs for last years MOTD, and was curious whether many people do special mods? Or is that pretty much just a secret until people get there and then surprise others?

thats my plan too... shes getting her first round of mods now, and the others RIGHT before.... too bad im too excited to keep em a secret!

 

In 2004 I had just got mine 3 weeks before the Dragon so I had no mods. 2005 I had 64 mods, this year I'll have close to 100 total mods done. I hope everyone likes it!

 

100 mods? WOW.
I'm doing things before the dragon, but everyone will probably see them beforehand :P

 

I'm hoping to get the graphics I want as a birthday present (hopefully I'll get them on before my b-day though as it the day we're heading down to the Dragon)

 

Did my third mod today. 1st was to remove the cup holder and ash tray. Second was to remove airbag sticker on the dash and sticker on the top left of the drivers side saying don't use anything but Genuine MINI parts & accesories. Today we passed 1250 miles! Brake in is done!

Oh yes, getting tons done to my car before the Dragon. But I use and enjoy the hell out of my mods every day, the Dragon is just the best place to show off.


Heehee... two MINIs and I have yet to make it out of the dealership with that dumb sticker.

 

My MINI was built on 10/03... and it still has the original air bag sticker on it

 

SB, you should keep it on. I've "heard" that since everyone keeps "modding and modding" their cars, its ONLY the ones completely Stock ... OEM all the way ... are the ones that will eventually be worth anything

 

Well, my problem is... i want to paint my dash... but i LOVE being able to say i still have my airbag sticker. Some great friend of mine tried to peel off a corner once, so it has a little pinch off one corner :( but i want to tape it off and paint around it so bad because it matches my mini.

 

Finally got around to adding the Actual size decal that I got nearly 9 months ago. I also added my NAM decal. I will post pix later today. I haven't added my "Warning to female passengers" decal yet (see my galery) I hope to do this today!

Why Zak? You can adjust your turbo boost right?

 

Well the reasoning is to let the turbo do more work..Adding a larger supercharger makes the spin slower, therefore allowing the turbo to pick up more work rather than the 9 psi it is running right now. I can adjust boost, but won't until I get everything tuned again.

 

I saw a link here on NAM to a sale on E-bay. He had 5 left and I got one for $4.00. It went on the passenger side visor next to the factory warning sticker!
