Delivery delay
Hi Everyone,
I ordered my new Countryman Iconic in October. It seems that there is a long delay in delivery. Does anyone know if there is a production problem or something wrong?
Thanks,
Morry

Last one was in sept 2nd. Stop delivery IBS The issue is related to the integrated braking system, which determines the level of feel and feedback given to the driver through the brake pedal.Recall Description The Integrated Brake (IB) system may not have been produced by the supplier according to specifications. If the IB system was not functioning properly, a warning lamp and message will be displayed in the instrument cluster.

Safety Risk In some cases, there will be a reduction in power assist braking, which could lead to an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. The Antilock Brake System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system may not function, which could also affect braking performance as well as vehicle handling and control. However, fully mechanical braking is not affected and, if the IB system is not functioning properly, the parking (emergency) brake will be automatically activated to aid in braking performance and help maintain vehicle stability and control.

Repair Description The Integrated Brake (IB) system will be replaced for free by an authorized BMW center which should take several hours.

Possible that's the one.

Just installed the latest update 11/2024.30 last night using the Mini app on my iphone. Was a bit of a pain as you have to ensure that the Bluetooth remains connected. It is supposed to fix a number of things including the Auto Assistant response which was lame to non-existent. The updates are:
1. Feature upgrade MINI digital key;
2.Upgrade Intelligent Personal Assistant;
3.Upgrade Go-kart mode with some cool torque, power, boost and engine temp numbers;
4. Upgrade Quick Links;
5.Improved Operating System 9 for quicker response;
6."Enhanced diagnostic capability for the braking system", which I hope means it will warn us before the ABS goes out.

Mine just updated to 07/2024.40 (from 07/2024.25) last night and the app still says it’s the latest. I can see there maybe being a different software update track for the EV but are there even different versions for the ICE Countryman in the same manufacturing year?

And of course, just like any other giant Android tablet on wheels you have to update the apps separately from the MINI OS.

Despite having the most recent update the Personal Assistant, aka Spike, seems to come and go as he pleases. Often when summoned he will just sit there as if he cannot hear or understand what is being said, and saying nothing. Frustrating.

I've been unable to update with the latest. Successfully downloaded to my phone and then to the car but it keeps telling me that the starter battery charge is too low to install the upgrade. This is ridiculous. Car starts fine, battery is fully charged, car is driven daily.

Put it on a trickle changer, we do that when we do tunes for APR in house.

I had this problem after the first update from July. I changed my language setting to Canadian English, then back to US English. That restored/reset the language pack for the Personal Assistant, and it worked fine after that. When I did this months update, I saw that it installed a new language pack as part of the upgrade. Looks like you might have a similar problem to the one I encountered.

Just talked to sprint booster and they said this should work for the throttle lag. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-sprint-b...sbmi0003s~spb/

Good morning from Spain. I have had a Mini Countryman U25 (single engine European version) with JCW package including Harmann&Kardon sound system for 6 months now, which sounds reasonably good without being anything special. Until now I was using Amazon Music on an app installed in the car. As I am transitioning to the Apple ecosystem, I also have Apple Music available for a few months via CAR Play. In this particular MINI, the Apple Music app cannot be installed independently as you can with Amazon Music. Now comes the question regarding sound quality. I have tried both music streaming systems and I have the feeling that Amazon Music sounds better than Apple Music in this car. Any experience or opinion on this? I have no intention of paying for both streaming systems and I have to choose one. Thanks in advance."

Has anyone sprung for WeatherTech yet? Winter weather reminds me that I’d like better mats than the factory carpeted ones but MINI’s all-weather mats are really just the same dimensions in rubber and don’t offer protection up the sides of the footwell.

For $228.90 + shipping I’m not sure I like how WT doesn’t protect the center tunnel area for the rear though? Found a much cheaper set on Amazon where the rear mat is one piece but reviews say the material is thin so maybe you’re getting what you pay for.

YES....and they are great mats.
[QUOTE=Karrock;4690865]Has anyone sprung for WeatherTech yet? .....QUOTE]

I purchased these WeatherTech mats shorty after getting our 2025 Countryman JCW in July. We live in Colorado and have had WT mats for other cars, so I knew we'd want them.
(Also, I agree that the front Mini all-weather mats aren't an adequate design.)
I did, however, get the Mini trunk mat which helps keep things from sliding around while being a little easier to pull up when you want to get into the bottom storage area.
BTW, my wife is quite "jealous" that WeatherTech hasn't yet made the same mats for her new 2025 Cooper S 4-Door.

Wife has a 2025 Countryman SE with the latest firmware.

After her iPhone got updated to the newest iOS release she has had a couple of interesting problems.

1. Carplay crashed, then the screen went blank and completely rebooted.
2. The steering wheel voice button no longer activates Siri

Anyone else run into these issues and know of a solution?

Very nice setup, Where did you get the black grill trim piece from. I just picked up my 2025 British racing Green mini and would like to change out that trim piece.

By the way just noticed the Army plates. I'm an Army Vet as well....I was stationed at Fort Hood, Fort Eustis, Fulda Germany and as a civilian Hanau, K-Town, Mannheim, and Wiesbaden. Wish i could have picked up my mini over there to where i know the price is 5k cheaper.

Looks great! how did you remove the trim piece around the front grill? Which point of the trim did you start with to pull it off?
