Looks great! how did you remove the trim piece around the front grill? Which point of the trim did you start with to pull it off?
Use the bottom portion of the grill to pull it out with a plastic trim tool. Then start working around the trim to pull it out. Just did mines 45 mintues ago. Transformed the front end big time.
I’ve been favoring the built-in MINI nav for its full screen display and AR video overlays but I just fired up Waze yesterday to get around a bad traffic jam and noticed that it uses the bubble now! Still a square CarPlay for “full screen” but is this new? I did just update to 03/2025.38 on Monday.

Waze in the bubble!
Cool! Wonder when this changed. Google Maps worked this way but not Waze, until now it seems.
In the not-so-great MINI OS 03/2025.38 update news, my Countryman now has some new gremlins:
A bad habit of auto-dimming the rear view and driver side mirrors in broad daylight, like all the time.
Just this morning the passenger side map light above the rear view mirror turned on and wouldn’t turn off.
Engine feels like it’s holding on to higher revs longer even while coasting (witness the daisy on the power meter) and usually doesn’t drop until I brake.

One of the not-so-great changes brought to my JCW Countryman's entertainment system is:
Although I can still scroll/rotate up/down the little wheel on the steering wheel and see the saved Sirius XM stations on the head-up display, pressing the wheel won't change the station like it used to. Quite disappointing because that was a convenient and not-so-distracting way to select a different music (or other) channel.

FIXED / DONE / YAY....After posting this yesterday, I went to do some errands and figured what the heck, I'll do a soft reset and see what happens. Well, it worked...easy peasy. Good to have that simple (and less distracting) music/channel change capability again .
I'll be your first customer for lowering springs on the U25 as soon as they're posted! I have the electric Countryman SE...any thoughts on whether the springs for those would be different than the ICE Countryman S? Thinking weight may be a factor...
Hello,
Sorry just saw this old post, talking to H&R as their might be something soon.
I replaced the other powder coated metal “Tesla” car seat hooks with another set from HALOBLK and they’re much better suited to the Countryman. Though not as stealthy as on a Tesla it’s a much more streamlined design with it clipping snugly between the plastic backer panel and the Vescin at the top of the headrest and I doubt it’ll easily slip out (I kept accidentally dislodging the metal one and sending it flying while pulling up my backpack hanging off top of the seat).
Currently $11.96 for a pair, no referral code here, just sharing a product I bought and really liked — wish I got them last time!
What are your thoughts on the 2025 Countryman? I can't get past the fabric dashboard topper and doors. My dog would destroy it either with his drool or his nails. I brought it up at the preview I went to this weekend. Not sure MINI really thought that through or is willing to add a non fabric option.
Five months into my U25 Countryman. All going great. The seats and dash materials are holding up to my big dogs. The stereo is better than expected - as is the quickness of the car.

Clarification: the U25 HK system do have tweeters in the rear doors- they just dont show in the U25 ETK:
interesting...are you able to tell me the part # of that tweeter??thank you
Current glitch: No audio at all in my car -- CarPlay, radio, Sirius, even the factory nav -- says "No Source" when turning volume ****, mute, or steering wheel buttons, but if I log out of my MINI ID and use Guest I can get the radio to come up for like a second then it auto-mutes, spinning the volume **** up turns back down. Don't want to factory reset (AGAIN) because it's a pain to go through all the custom settings again but I may have to.
Unfortunately the Mini OS is glitchy AF. I've found it almost intolerable with multiple driving profiles. The amount of time it takes to change everything is impractical. I also often end up with the No Audio Source problem but tends to resolve itself after a few minutes.
UK driver pull-out (extension) sun visor i.e. USA drivers is extendable but the passengers is not. I was thinking of getting the UK model visor so both could be extendable.
Any thoughts?
Thank you for the info. I ordered the HSD A female to B female cable, but for my vehicle I believe the HSD A female to C female would have worked better. I wasn't able to insert the B plug into the blue recepticle. I trimmed two tabs from the B female plug and then it went into the recepticle.
