Come on, we need one more motorer to have 300 MINIs registered!

 

Um....I think we have almost 300 people registered....about 220 cars. We need more cars !!!!!

Yeah I am bummed, I thought all along the count wuz the# of Minis, now I see it's the # of peoples

 

Isn't it the number of registrations? One registration may represent one MINI with a couple, maybe with kids, or in some cases there may be two registrations for one MINI and two drivers, etc?

 

Now we're up to 357 registered for the Dragon! WOW!!!

I just counted the registrants.... so if people actually show up in Buick LeSabres, my count will be off....

 

we will need to keep a sharp eye out for couterfeit minis at the dragon. i hear they will be trying to invade our events!

 

My guess is that we'll have close to 300 (if not more) MINIs at the event. The event registration list (and count) is for those that have purchased a registration package or basic registration. Given that you could have multiple registrations per car the number of actual MINIs will be less than the number registered. Also, there will likely be a few more that show up at the event so the number could grow. Regardless, there will be more MINIs in the area than you can image

I would go if I could fit my MINI into my carry on.

Too bad you could not get some TV coverage so that others would know and come to sign up soon.

401 people (or individual registration cards). If you're feeling froggy, count the blue blocks down the right hand side of the registration page, and you'll get the number of MINIs! Or thereabouts...

OK, figured it out... hate to break it to you all, but 401 "Attendees" does NOT mean 401 MINIs. It doesn't even mean 401 Registrations (which would also mean 401 MINIs). It means 401 people.
The "(+1)", "(+2)" and "(+3)" things you see on the end are extra people without MINIs.

I just did a quick count (with Excel's help)... 113 extra people. The quick math says 401 - 113 = 288 MINIs. Now I see one more was added (402) - since a single addition is almost definitely another MINI, we come to 289 MINIs.

That's where we stand as I type this - approx. 289 MINIs, and over 400 people. (I say "approx." because 1) Not every person coming is guaranteed to bring a MINI and 2) there may still be some last minute additions)

Sorry to break up the party - but I don't think 289 MINIs is anything to sneeze at, anyway! Don't shoot me - I'm just "logically minded" so I couldn't resist figuring it out. :smile:

 

That is a good approximation, Edge! I know of two attendees, at least, who are unable to come in their MINIs. They are flying in and renting cars to be there with us: OctaneGuy and snoopy! snoopy is on a big vacation tour of the States and visiting us all the way from Australia!

You are correct that the number registered indicates the number of people who have purchased registrations for the event. That said there are several people bringing multiple MINIs. My best guess at this point (additional people will show up at the event) is that there will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-350 MINIs and 400-450 people by the time the event concludes.
