MINI Rental??

Anyone know if I can rent a Cooper while I'm at the Dragon? I'm planning on flying in. Would really love to drvie, but I just can't spare the time away from family to drive there and back. I'll be bringing a boatload of VacuCam's with me. well maybe MINIload size.

My plan is to fly into Knoxville. Thanks for any info.

Richard, what if you contact the closest MINI Dealership (I believe it's in Nashville), and offer them a VacuCam in exchange for them letting you "borrow" a MINI for the Dragon!

May be worth looking into, at least!

Clo's got a good thought, although I think the nearest dealership is Nashville which is 3 hours or so west of Knoxville...

I'm not sure there's any other option...

Richard,

I tried this last year with no success. The closest MINI I could find to rent was in North Florida at $75 per day. But if I find something I'll let you know.

Richard, I'm sure you could talk one of us MINI drivers into letting you take a spin for a VacuCam trade As long as you promise not to drive off the mountain.

hahahaaha, funny enough, that thought DID cross my mind.
Although I wasn't looking for a spin, but rather transportation from Knoxville airport to Fontana Village as well as commuting around the area.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.

Richard, I offer very reasonable daily or hourly rates for renting my MINI Cooper from its rental station at Fontana Village . However the per mile charge and the damage waiver is shockingly high!

But on a serious note, when do you need to be picked up at the airport?

I'd probably be up for a trip to Knoxville since I haven't seen the Sun Sphere since 1982 when I went to the World's Fair and spent all of my money playing Donkey Kong Jr. when it was first released in America at the fair

I was ten years old, I was on a trip with my summer camp. I spent all of my money on Donkey Kong Jr. and did not have any left to buy dinner at McDonalds when all of the other kids got to try the brand new Chicken McNuggets that were being test-marketed! I had to wait a whole year before I could enjoy a McNugget! I was so sad. Damn you Nintendo!

edit: I just submitted this story to Pathetic Geek Stories. . . . maybe it is good enough?
