Zak, I think you are beautiful! I know you from our fun at the Dragon in October. I had great fun yakking and partying with you!

EDIT: We're going to have "Smokin' the Dragon, A Cigar Sampling Salon" on Thursday, May 5, 2005, immediately following the Welcome Dinner! We shall convene on the porch of Fontana Village's Recreation Room, which provides ample seating. More details will follow for registration and related info....

Yeah...the cigars were so yummy and civilized, weren't they? It was my pleasure to meet you and enjoy your company.

Speaking of Cigars, have you ever tried some Dominican Cigars? So wonderfully civilized and the aroma is like being on cloud nine. I really liked the Kalhua one. Where did you get that?

No, I don't think I have tried Dominican cigars, yet. sndwave and I purchased the Kahlua ones at a cool cigar boutique in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We'll bring more to the Dragon in May!

Awesome! I'll bring some Dominican Republic Cigars. In my own taste, I think Cubans are number one, then Dominicans, and then the Kalhua ones.

Well, I have stopped smoking cigarettes, so I can only speak for the cigars. I love cubanos, haven't tried the Dominican Republicos, but I LOVE the Kahua cigars....they are delicious!

Is there a way you could merge part of the,"What is wrong with people" thread into this?

Since I stopped pretending I could play golf, I've stopped smoking cigars... I did buy some this week though... I found a little Cuban restaurant in Puerto Vallarta that had a humidor room. I think many shops in Mexico tourist towns claim to have quality Cuban cigars and really don't. Anyway, a neighbor's son turned 21 yesterday and had a party last night... I bought the cigars for him and his friends.

Clo,

We'll have to share a cigar or two at the Dragon:smile: Had a Cuban cigar at my son's rehearsal dinner. It was pretty good. In my younger days, I liked the cherry tasting ones. Now I don't go out & buy them but I have been known to try them

What? No Philly Bluntz?

While I really can't endorse any illicit activities this thread's excluding an obvious option from it's title. Were it not illegal or quazi-legal (in some states) I suspect you'd find a high (pun?) percent of respondants would opt for "neither".

Actually I don't really smoke anything these days. Although I've tried a few options.

Cigars were tasty, but... 2 years ago had an evening of red wine, fine cubans and high-end audio in my place. The hangover was horrible, and I NEVER get hung over from a little excess red wine. Then there was the smell... I couldn't get the smell out of my place for 2-3 days after, and I had the windows open 24h/d. ...Funny, but they never smell THAT way when you're smoking them.

Fixation? ...Food ****, cig/ar/ettes? What would Freud say?

Freud would say, "Come to papa, baby!" He enjoyed cigars, too!

About the stench....if you could get some dried sweetgrass or sage (used in Native American ceremonies), you could "smudge" the space to clean out the cigar stench. Or burn some cedar needle incense would purify it, as well. I never smoke cigars indoors....don't have to deal with the aftermath!

Lois, you'll enjoy the Blondies and the Kahluas, I'm sure! We'll have a good supply with us!

I have no idea what this thread is about, but I am smoking Plasencia's that I got from the JR Cigar catalog....and I got a free pound of coffee with the order. Nowhere near as good as the Bauza's I had, but not bad for the price.

 I forgot to mention that I also enjoy Sherman's! The dark, unfiltered ones that have been dipped in honey. They are cigaretellos, looking like a very dark, long cigarette.
