Got my Magnaflow installed! Looks and sounds great. I went cat-back without a resonator.

One think I like about the exhaust is that when cruising at ~3000 RPM the exhaust isn't loud, but just has a nice low rumble. When you hit the throttle hard it really comes alive and makes its presence known.

So far it's been a great bargin and a really nice mod.

LOL, sorry guys. Definitely plan on adding a sound clip.

If I don't have to stay late at work today I'll upload one this evening. Just have to figure out how to prop up my cam at the right angle so that I can hop into the car to rev the engine!

That was possible a few weeks ago. After all the mods I've done to the car recently the wallet is empty and I'm eating Ramen for dinner!

Maybe I can prop it on a roll of pennies...

Dont put it directly in front of the tailpipes, do it from like an angle and at least like 5 feet away. Maybe put ur keys to hold it up i guess.

Okay, first time making a video so I'm not very good at it.
I used my iPhone so the sound on the video doesn't do it justice.
It sounds much louder and deeper in person and especially in the cabin.

Not sure how to capture that in a movie with my phone...
This will at least give you an idea.

Inside it sounds GREAT. It's a nice deep rumble that makes the engine sound like it's much bigger than it is. As you accelerate it begins to sound like the the exhaust note we're used to in the Mini, only louder. It's no where near overly loud though, it just sounds nice.

So far the Magnaflow has been great!

Then you said "pops"....heheheheh....

Sounds really nice throughout the rev band, and especially under load like you said.

The pops and burble sound even better with this exhaust too.

Grand total for parts, install, tax and shipping for the whole thing was $385. Pretty good for a cat-back exhaust!

I'm in the same boat after spending an obscene amount of $$ on my car recently for all kinds of mods. Time to eat lots of ramen and start saving for the next round!

Depends on how much money you plan to spend and if your goal is power, handling or looks.

This is a great first mod: http://www.waymotorworks.com/nm-engi...nt-insert.html

If I knew then what I know now, I would've put this on the day I picked up my car.

Nah, not really. If you have jack stands and a torque wrench and don't mind climbing under the car it's only two bolts.

There's a great tutorial here on NAM somewhere showing each step with photos. It's a great mod, especially for the price.
