I've been scouring through thread's on exhaust, Especially this one.

Was wondering if someone could summarize their setup?

I.e Part numbers, Inlet / Outlet Size, Body Shape Etc.

I'm looking for a good Value for Money exhaust and magnaflow seems the best as you guys have said.

Much appreciated.

(if you want me to go away will do)

Its on one of my first few posts along with the size (5"x8"x14" I think) of muffler and the link to the muffler on the perfped website. You might wana go for a 2.5" or 3" back like some guys said but I did my own thing lol. I went from 2nd cat (on MCS) straight to the muffler. No resonator.

The ones that fit and that most guys seem to be getting for their MINIs (at least those in this thread) are these:

16815 (full cat-back system)
14816 (muffler with tips - see Automan's setup)
12258 (2.5" w/o tips)
12228 (3" w/o tips)
35121 (tips for the above two part numbers)

Just depends on whether you want to go 2.3", 2.5" or 3" for the main pipe size and how much you want to spend up front versus at the muffler shop.

All are great performance wise and seem to sound about the same. Prices for all are pretty good too.

And as you've probably seen from clips in this post, all sound amazing!

We're all buying from Performance Peddler which has the best prices for Magnaflows.

Perf Ped also gives $10 back if you post what you bought in any forum.

Have read all the way through numerous times and am incredibly impressed with the videos etc.

I must say they make a mean exhaust and thanks for posting back!

Nice to get a feel for what's best diameter's etc. So thank you.

Thinking of ordering mine soon but am in the UK so hopefully will find a supplier here, if not will import it

Thanks once again! Much appreciated.

They arrived! The tips are HUGE.
If I had to guess I'd say they're each about 1/2" larger than the already large stock JCW tips.

The muffler is completely free-flowing if looking through it is any indication!

If I get lucky enough to find a good shop this weekend that has time for a walk-in install I'll upload a vid.

For now, enjoy the (probably crappy) iPhone pics!

Yep, that's the one I got as well. I never get tired of hearing that sound!
Are you using a resonator?

Yep, I bought a magnaflow magnapack when I got everything else. I don't really have any drone, but it can get kinda loud around 3k, but it's not that bad really. I can almost guarantee that you will have some drone without a resonator. Without a resonator though it will be louder. So it's your choice.

First, the videos don't do it justice, it's actually a little louder.

Second, I could have gone without a resonator, but I would have had drooooone on the highway. To me it's just right, not too loud, not too quite. And I can still have a conversation in the car while on the freeway.

Without a resonator it would sound more like this
http://www.youtube.com/user/akakong8...10/nqdoZjjVXOA

But have lots of drone

Definitely something to think about. I love the no-resonator sound, but I used to have an Acura Integra GSR with an aftermarket exhaust and no resonator that sounded great but had lots of drone at certain speeds or certain RPMs, usually up high or on the highway. It drove me insane.

I'll have some time to decide since the earliest the muffler shop can install it is on Monday, so no cool exhaust sound or videos this weekend...

Very true. I'm guessing these are the Magnaflow resonators:

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/u...sp?shape=Round

Prices from Performance Peddler on those should be good.
