Thoughts on using the sunroof with roofrack?

Thinking about installing a roofrack, proably a Thule wingbar evo on my countryman with raised rails.

Would the sunroof be affected by this? Would it still be able to open or would it hit the crossbars or crossbar towers?

I bought the Mini Cross-bars, and there is PLENTY of room under them for the sunroof. I believe I've read others that have the Thule wingbar, and reported there is sufficient clearance under the bar. I'd check with Thule to be sure...they should know! If I had to do it again, I'd at least check out the Wingbar...the Mini Cross bars are way taller than they need to be.

Good luck!

I have exactly those Thule crossbars. No clearance issues whatsoever.

I like these bars because they don't sit up as high as the factory ones. They are also very quiet.

I've got wingbar edge, about as low profile as I could find, and the sunroof clears them no sweat. Will get pics.

I just put the Thule rails on my new 2023 Countryman and they fit perfectly. Also installed a Thule road bike rack up there- easy.

because the side rails are raised the sunroof does not hit it.
