Sunroof initialization on a broken sunroof
Hi guys,
I have a sunroof warning lamp on that I was wanting to get rid of. It seems like I would need to initialize the sunroof, according to the thread here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...e-sunroof.html
However, the problem is that my sunroof won't operate (the roof makes a loud racket when I push the roof open/close button); having been like this for almost a year now. The dealership recommended a full sunroof repair (swapping out the cassette and possibly motor), which meant a $3500-4000 repair bill.
I don't really use the sunroof so I can live with not operating it, but is there any way to do the initialization procedure (or any other way to get rid of the dash warning light) without going through the whole open and close cycle?
