My rear sunroof doesnt open and also when i try to open front sunroof all way, it clicks and return back to half open position..

Any helps or suggestions?

 

Might want to see if you can lube the tracks and see if that works. If not you might want to see if you can get your sunroof reprogrammed.

 

Not to step on any toes DrTran, but the Sunroof does not require reprogramming, the reprogramming you might be thinking is for the Side Windows which on occassion have had issues.

Molly's has had to be adjusted, it was out of spec. by 1/4" on one side. Lubing the rails might help, but I think a trip to the dealer is in order DarkOx, sorry!!

 

Don't worry your not. But the sunroof can be initialized. You'd be surprised what can be programmed in the MINI's

 

Shortly after I got my 2008 MCS, the rear sunroof would not open on hot days which would cause the front to do the same thing as yours. I found that if I pressed up on the rear sunroof while trying to open it, they would then open.

Had the dealership fix the alignment on both sunroofs (as well as replace a noisy front sunroof seal) and the problem has not reappeared.
