How much head room does the sunroof take away? The design specs say it's minimal and it doesn't look like it's much at all. Thanks.

I'm 6-4 and have a sunroof, my dad has no sunroof on his. I would go no sunroof the next time!!! However, I love the view and love driving with it open! I think the difference amounts to a couple of inches!

Good luck with your choices!

I think it is about 1.5 " less headroom in my estimate.

I'm 6'3" and I was very close to brushing up against the roof when I test drove the sunroof model. I went with no sunroof, it's nice to finally have some clearance for my head!

My guess is the sunroof will cost you about 1.5-2" of headroom.

Wow, that's more than I had expected... does anyone know the exact amount for sure? I think the mini is listed with 38.9 inches of head room, I'm assuming that that number is with the sunroof.

My guess is that it's the opposite. The measurement would be without the sunroff since it is an add-on/option. Believe it or not, I was wrong once before though. Of course, that was way back when I was 3 yrs. old.

If you are 6'6" you really need to go and test drive both cars. Headroom depends a lot on how you like to position the seat, how much you like to recline, etc. Measurements won't do the issue justice. You just have to try them both out. I am only 6'4" and no sunroof was a no brainer for me.

Yes people, dont forget to lower the seat. I like it low so I drop it all the way down, it makes me feel like a normal small person.

Normal people aren't small. Normal sized people are 6'2' or taller. The rest are short people.

I am 6' 4" with the sun roof and it is great. Plenty of room. I sort of lean towards the middle anyway when I drive so the sun roof allows me even more room. I would happily get it again.

I am 6'3", and have a sunroof. I drive with the seat all the way down and slightly reclined. There is plenty of headroom for me. Of course, I do have relatively long legs and a shorter torso. The only thing I would give up my sunroof for is a rag top.

Sunroof definitely makes the AC not cool the car as effectively!

Don't forget you need room for your helmet.

I am going to the track for the first time next saturday, and I was just trying my helmet in the car. Still have "three fingers" of room left!
