So, my son handed me the cover pictured below today. It's off the bottom of the rear passenger door...a light cover.

I looked online and can you buy just the cover or do you have to buy the whole "assembly" as in this LINK

 

It appears to be in good shape. Did you try and snap it back on?

 

I think the little plastic pieces might be broken, but to answer your question, no I did not. It was sub 30 degrees and 6 pm, so I thought I'd look again in hopefully the sun.

If you need to find weird parts 99% i can find them and have the pictures to tell you what it does

 

Just the cover seems broken (won’t snap back on, some of the plastic broke off), but I’m thinking i could just take the cover off a replacement unit and attach that.

mini is going to look at it on Tuesday and see if they fix under warranty. Worth a shot

 

Yep, just have them do it if its covered under warranty.

@ECS Tuning So, MINI said they'd replace the cap.

And on a sidenote, they're going to look at the ambient lighting on the door as well. there's a dead spot
