I have a 2018 JCW Countryman and recently purchased the dual flap JCW exhaust kit from my local dealer. I decided to install myself but realized there are no instructions in the box. The dealer told me they are not allowed to print them and supposed to be for technician use only. I have scoured the interwebs thanks to good old Google and can not find any install docs that may have been posted are leaked specific for my model. I only seem to find the hard top tune kit docs which are not helpful. If anyone has this info or can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate. The dealer wants another $600 in labor to install something that on prior cars I could do in my sleep but i need to know where to mount the bluetooth module and what specific number locations on the fuse box to insert the harness pins. It would also be helpful to know exactly where on the original pipe i need to cut the exhaust. Some say for aftermarket like NM and Bosal you cut between the 2 dimples on the pipe but I am not sure that applies when installing OEM exhaust. Thanks in advance..
Much appreciated ECS. These instructions help answer many of the questions I had. Its does not however reference where the separation point of the exhaust should be. I see a tech doc ISTA/AIR 18 12 030 listed in the PDF but don't seem to find that on the interwebs.. appreciate the help for sure!

Hey.. I'm not sure if you read this post or not. But here's the link:
Thanks! That does help a bit, I could measure myself but I'm curious where the tech doc says the cut should be made and if there are other recommendations in it.

Does this include the remap that's included when you do the JCW tuning kit for the F56 (for example)? Or, is this literally just an exhaust? The F56/57 with the JCW tuning kit is a super nice compromise between the S and JCW models.
So I very recently ordered an F60 (production is scheduled for the first week of March), and my Motoring Advisor is telling me that there’s no longer a JCW tuning kit available for the F60 S, only the JCW exhaust (no ECU remap any longer). 😞 Tell me they’re mistaken!
So it depends on the year, they very new new 2022+ MINIs cant take the flash due to something with the ecu/epa/OFP restrictions. If they have a 2022 Countryman i would see if they can flash it, if not make sure they can at least code the key fob flash, you will loose out on the 15+hp gain but it will still make cool pops and bangs under load in sport mode.

I thought you had a 2020
Yeah, mine will be a 2023 model (ordered the Untamed Edition). What do you mean by the key fob flash? They did say that the JCW exhaust (which they tell me is the same one that came with the JCW tuning kit) has the Bluetooth remote to open the valves in the exhaust on command.
Thats the fob they on its own you trigger the flash with. You have to have them flash that for you once installed.
Sorry, I’m not understanding. Do you mean the car has to be flashed even without the ECU remap, so that the Bluetooth-controlled exhaust flaps work correctly?
See that link above that goes to all the kits Post #2 it then links all the kits and the 2 install docs. On those docs the systems are programed to work through the MINI ASAP network. On that it holds the tune/key fob flash or just the flash for the fob.
You would have to talk to the dealer about the process on the Newer MINIs if they can flash for the fob to the system on the tuning kit if installed.
