Just Ordered...

My wife just ordered a 2020 Countryman JCW to replace her 2017 Hardtop JCW...so, we think we have a GREAT build, but you can't see it (except on the UK & German websites...biggest question. Has anyone blacked out the trim (from the dealer) and if so, it is application (covers) or legit grill, door handles, and emblems? Here is the rendered version...As well, we are selling her JCW...PM me for more details and I will get it in the marketplace soonest.

I blacked out the headlight and taillight trims, and the front grill.
Don't pay the dealer. The markup is insane. You can purchase the parts online from some dealers that sell cheaper.
Just go google search the part numbers. You can get the part numbers here...
https://www.shopminiusa.com/MINI-ACCESSORIES/EXTERIOR
There are the door handles and badges, too.

Looks awesome...and I found them on the website...the million dollar question was, are the grill and the door handles like the headlight/taillight rings? And by that, I mean are they true parts and not covers? I did the door handles and gas cap on my wife's F56 JCW in carbon, dipped the headlight/taillight rings and grill.

Here is my CM with all the blacked out parts. The issue with the JCW is going to be the black grille as they are only available for the S. Do yourself another favor and get the JCW exhaust.

Yeah, like you say... the head/taillight trims and grill are replacement parts.
I *think* the door handles are too, especially due to the small lock/unlock button, but I haven't done those yet so I can't tell you for sure.
Hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

The black OEM door handles for the F60 are full replacement handles, not covers. (Mine are sitting next to the door waiting for a not-crazy-humid day to install them.)

Apologies for the lousy lighting. Rears are the same, w/o the buttons/key access.

Oh boy, your going to have fun switching those out, 2 doors was enough for me but 4 doors, bring out the swearing jar, guess that's why I'm putting off the mod on my wife's CM, haha.

Ha... thanks!(?)

The instruction diagrams look pretty straightforward, but was hoping to find a video (or at least pics) of the process, but so far no luck. Another user here has done them but no in-progress images: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ce-needed.html

Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

Guys, waaaay cheaper option is to wrap in 3M Piano Black. It cost nothing compare to the prices of black parts from dealership. I did it by myself and took me some time, but the effect is awesome. And still couple of euros in my pocket...

Call 866 ASK MINI and they'll have the most up to date info. Make sure you speak to an advisor, not the automated system.

What did you give them so they could look it up? Was it under your name?

You might want to call your dealer and see if the order was actually placed with MINI yet. If it was, they should have the order/production number for you.

I am the bottom one...the tracker they use says the order was accepted...the one on top is the one we test drove. My SA said he hoped to have the production number by Friday...Duh...I just found the production #...calling now.

So...riddle me this...the shot above shows a production number of 3965771...when ASK MINI looks it up (via a real person), it says it is a 2010 BMW...not to happy with my dealership right now...as it has been 2 weeks...they get until Friday.

@ d2Mini - how long before you had your production number?

Check in the "First Gear" subforum. I thought production numbers were typically available within a day or so but I could be wrong. Or maybe its taking longer with it being a new model year.
I got one of the last 2019's that was already in production when my dealer found it and snagged it for me. So i skipped all that and went straight to it coming out of production and waiting for a boat.

All information came from the dealer, he looked it up using the production number and did a print screen for me.

Okay...let me understand...you have been waiting 40 weeks, or you go into production week 40 of 52 which is the first week of Oct? Either way...crazy...
