Been looking at the Countryman need to replace my current vehicle. Found this sorry if already posted on here. This special edition will be shown at the LA Auto Show.
Ive been seeing a lot of these thing popping up on Mini lots. I think the white looks terrible. The black looks ok. I havent seen any with the stripes, has anyone else? The stripes look good on these cars in my opinion. Thx..
We saw one over the weekend, white with no stripe. My wife kinda liked it, but it’s missing some options we want. I would have thought the special editions would be fairly loaded?

They used to be. I just looked at one briefly when I was at the dealer for some work today. It appears to be all exterior options for this special edition. I used to have a Bayswater and a Bond Street. Both of those had exterior and interior changes. Unique paints, seating, trim, mirror caps, visually interesting stripes, etc. This special edition seems to be nothing more than a paint+stripe+chrome delete combo.
Even my most recent MINI, a PHEV, is a special edition. I didn't even realize it until after I bought it, though. The only unique thing about it was the wheel center caps and mirror covers are a hideous yellow. I replaced the wheel caps and put black plastidip on the mirror caps. But it does have some nice JCW sport seats (though not unique, unlike the Bond Street with color coordinated piping, or the Bayswater with color coordinated stitching.)
I am 2-3 months away from purchasing an F60. I keep looking at the Yin Yan edition. I keep trying to force myself to like it. It just doesn't look finished to me. Needs more to tie the color story elements together better. Black needs white mirror caps, and maybe rally stripes. White needs a white roof, and maybe rally stripes. All IMO.
