Here's the Refund/Cancellation Policy

As stated on my receipt/confirmation....

Your total balance is due 07/26/07. For cancellations prior to
07/26/07, your deposit will be refunded less a 10% processing fee. Reservations cancelled on or after 07/26/07 will result in full forfeiture of the total balance. We require that you provide a credit card upon check-in

Travel Insurance is highly recommended to protect against cancellation policies and to offer protection for your trip pre and post arrival. To purchase Travel Insurance please call us at 1-866-837-2997.

Is this the Cooper Mountain Resort cancelation policy or the cancelation policy if I reserve my room and purchase it through the MITM registration?

I can clear that up

If you called Copper Mountain Resort and used our event code for our room block, the CMR cancellation policy applies. You did not RSVP thru us for this.

If you bought a Budget room thru NAM then you can cancel with us. The sooner the better, but let's say July 27th so that we have time to offer the room up to someone else.

Well, scooter is MINI #99, so we are about to break 100 MINIs. I thought it would be better for my MINI to have a name before I registered him.

#99 on the ticker, Order ID#5806 Don & Pat Order ID#5680, I think we posted that.

And as far as registrations go...

I checked the official list today. The states currently registered are:

(West to East)

CA
UT
AZ
NM
CO
WY
KS
OK
MO
NE
AR
TN
IL
WI
LA
TX
NC

Well, not exactly west to east but you get the point.

Order #5803. I imagine my MINI will still be in break-in mode for MITM. But hey, I may drive it 1200 miles on the way home when I pick 'er up (a 40 mile trip if I don't get distracted).

Okay, route and agneda is set:

Four people, driving three Mini's and one motorcycle - at least that is the current plan.

Leaving Dallas on Wednesday the 8th, spending the night in Raton, NM.

Then leave on the 9th, making the drive up to Copper.

Anyone have any thoughts on the route once we leave Raton? Like places to see or things that one must see?

Cheers

If I were driving that way

and if I wanted to avoid the Interstate, I would do this:
  • From Raton, N on I-25 to Walsenburg
  • 69 N out of Walsenburg to 50
  • E a bit on 50 to 9
  • 9 all the way thru the valley to Fairplay, then thru Breckenridge, to Frisco.
  • 6 miles up the highway I-70 is Copper.
That will do it, and very, very scenic and some canyon carvers to boot. Lots of mountain ranges to enjoy. About 265 miles.

Here's a link to our route. We will be staying in Pueblo Wednesday night and may try to link up Thursday morning for the same route to Copper.
