R60 Anyone has pictures around oil pan area for R60 S ALL 4?
Hi all,
I will replace the oil pump solenoid since it prompted me a code. So far, I cannot really find a good picture or pictures of that area, and I forgot to take pictures since I flushed the ATF last time. Pictures between oil pan and torque arm insert will be great. Thank you for your help!

I have the below video I can send right now. It doesn't show the area behind the oil pan, but you can see the lower engine mount behind the pan.
Are you interested in knowing what's involved with the work? I just replaced my oil pump twice. See here for explanation. You need to remove the right-side axle so you can remove the engine mount so you can access the solenoid's wire harness. I wrote a Word document with step-by-step instructions and torque specs I can send you if you like.

You must remove the engine mount to access the harness. See ECS's picture, which is excellent. The four threaded holes surrounding the harness' egress are for the engine mount's bolts.
In the picture's bottom left, you can see the transmission's output. The CV axle must be removed because it blocks access to the engine mount.
Regarding the Brennan oil pump, I can't recommend it. I went with a genuine Mini pump, part number 11 41 7 647 376, because I wanted the latest redesign for the oil wicking problem.

I sent you private message with detailed instructions. First remove the axle. The second instructions are for replacing the oil pump, which you may or may not need.
These procedures are one way that I used to perform these tasks for my specific circumstances. I think they will serve as a starting point for you.

Sorry to dig up this old thread and my very first post on here. Would you mind sharing your procedure with me? I replaced my son's timing chain around Christmas and he has been getting low oil pressure just recently. Not sure if there is anything in the pickup but didn't see any fragments broken off guides. I think I should pop the pan, I am kicking myself for not doing it when I did timing and exhaust.
Thank you!
