P15FE - Engine shutdown time, signal: Missing/Electrical Fault
Hi Guys, I have a 2013 MC SALL4 R60 (N18) 90K miles on it, weirdly, a week or so ago during the morning startup, I started getting TPMS malfunction, random Low Tire warnings, I attempted the TPMS reset and carried on driving, soon after, I started getting multiple glitches - ABS error, CEL, Passenger Seat belt restraint errors, TPMS malfunction, Radio On/Off, RPM needle bouncing but engine revs were steady, Electrical Fault messages, lost turn signal controls, so pretty much all Dashboard lights/functions glitched, the engine/mechanical aspects were fine.
On plugging in my generic scanner, the only error code I see is P15FE - Engine shutdown time, signal: Missing, I have tried clearing it but it doesn't budge, also, the dashboard function failures are random, I don't see them happen all the time, no errors on driving yesterday but are back today. I checked the battery health which is around 70%, no blown out fuses under the hood or in the passenger fuse box area (I checked all the fuses). The carpet area is dry, so I dont suspect water related corrosion but I do live in Seattle so there's that (rains here all the freaking time :-))
Any clues on what may be causing this ? and next steps for debug ? I have read the threads online but nothing conclusive, some have reported replacing the TPMS/DME module but that would be the last resort for me at this point. Thanks !

Is your passenger side carpet wet?
Known to have leaks from the drains, which gets the BDC wet (thing in the passenger side footwell), which causes all sorts of strange problems.
I know you said you checked, but trying to figure out what's common to all these systems.

Not to revive a dead thread, but did you ever resolve this problem? I have the exact same issue at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Fortunately for me it didn't occur since then, I ended up replacing the battery as well and haven't had the incident since, I would suggest checking your fuses under the hood and the fuse box in passenger side footwell.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have checked fuses everyrhing looks good. I was thinking battery just because of the electrical message that pops up and it seems like the gauge clusters just power cycle. Did you replace your battery shortly after the problem? Thanks again.
