Strange TPMS Codes...
Hey guys,
so since I purchased my 2009 Clubman I've had the TPMS telltale on. I've been putting off fixing it, but those things just start to bug you after a while.
I've checked all pressures (40psi, RFT) and verified that all the sensors are sending signals and IDs. Batteries are all good at normal voltage. The TPMS computer in the dash will not reset using the BC button on the end of the turn stalk.
I ran a scan on the TPMS computer using my Snap-On Edge tool, and came out with these two codes-
604E- RDC SYSTEM
6053- RDC AERIAL
I've cleared them out, and they return right back. By the aerial code I was going to guess it was just the antenna, but I don't want to just take a shot in the dark with disassembling the interior of the vehicle to change it. Had anyone dealt with these codes before, and what was done to fix it? Thanks!

I don't recognize those codes. However, if the sensors mounted on your wheels are the original equipment, it is possible that one or more of the batteries is shot. If that is the case, some scanners will tell you which wheel. One option to would be to replace the sensor(s), but be aware that there was a frequency change in about October, 2010, so sensors from later cars won't communicate with your car.
Well, that was my original thought, but I scanned all of them with my TPMS tool and all batteries checked out, they were reading accurate temperature within about +/-5° and accurate PSI.
I'm down to either the antenna or the control module. I thought maybe someone more familiar with BMW codes could advise on which one they pertained to.
Also getting the INACTIVE message in the display, and won't reset.

When I've run wheels without sensors, and before my TPMS was de-activated, I got the standard warning lights (inactive and then "!" in the tach and the TPMS idiot light in the speedo). So, ShipM8 could be right.....

The TPMS antenna is mounted under a black plastic cover on the underside and in front of the passenger rear wheel. Easy to get to and swap out if that is the problem.

Great, thank you for the advice. Seeing as the antenna is fairly cheap, I think I'll try that first.
Like I said, I scanned the sensors (original to the run-flat rims) and they were all reading correctly and are learned to the vehicle, batteries all in check and with proper voltage. To my knowledge they are all OE BMW sensors.

No Change
Just an update-
I replaced the antenna today, and still no change. Aerial code comes right back- in fact it won't even clear out. Next step is the control unit.
Still won't allow me to reset the INACTIVE message in the display.

Problem Found!
Well I finally found my problem after replacing the controller to no avail. After looking over the wiring diagrams I figured I'd check the voltage at the controller and antenna and- lo and behold- there was a broken wire in the RDC antenna harness. I'll try and post a picture.
