Tips for draining transfer case

Yesterday I tried to change the transfer case oil in my 2013 All4 but hit a snag -- I couldn't drain the old oil. The tube on my fluid extractor was too big, so I reduced it to 1/4" ID tube. That was also too big. I found a smaller tube but the seal with the 1/4" tube wasn't good. I'm not sure it would have worked anyway. Unlike the rear diff, it didn't feel like I was inserting the tube into a reservoir. In the end, I topped-off the oil and called it a day. So I'd appreciate any tips for how to drain the transfer case. Thanks.

One other question: while under the car, I noticed what appears to be a drain plug to the left of the transfer case. It's left of center of the car, to the right and slightly behind the transmission pan. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo.

Hello. Did you solved the problem? How do you drill the transfer case fluid?
