Side mirrors

Anyone else wish the driver's side mirror went up farther? I have the seat all the way down and have moved my seat back a bit in order to see traffic in the driver's side mirror. Took to dealer and they said the mirror is fine. Don't know why the driver's side mirror doesn't adjust as high as the passenger side mirror. See this has been a problem for the cars for quite a while.

Ok, this can be fixed for $0, but you have to be VEERRRYYYYY careful!!!

It involves removing the mirror glass itself, and nipping off a plastic "stop" behind it.

I'll poke around and see if I can find the writeup.

I wasn't concerned about my mirror glass, as I was installing these:

That thread above has lots of info on the about the genuine MINI euro mirrors. We dont have aftermarket ones yet that fit the Countryman / Paceman.

That link to Way doesn't list them for the R60, but they fit. I had to remove the mirror cap, and reroute the wiring, but they fit.

did these fit your countryman? they dont say r60 on the website https://www.waymotorworks.com/convex...7-r58-r59.html

ive got a '13 all4 s countryman and want to confirm before i purchase.

how much work was involved with rerouting the wiring as you said in a subsequent post? they function properly including the heating function?

Yes, those are the ones I put on my '13 CMSAll4 R60. I verified with Way prior to ordering that they would fit, and they do.
What I had to do was remove the mirror caps as well, to reroute the wiring for the heated mirrors. Just slide the wiring out the back and reinsert it to the other end of the mirror. Very easy, and simple. No rewiring or anything like that. You'll see what I mean when you go to do it.

See the mirror in the attachment, note the broad red arrow pointing at the wires. Those are the wires. Just pull them back thru, and poke them thru the other end, towards the car. At least that's what I had to do. No issues.

Anyone else find a way to fix these without having to purchase an all new mirror? I just purchased a 2013 Countryman for my daughter and noticed this as I was driving home with the car. My driver side mirror appear to over rotate also so it snaps into place that is out of alignment. I could manually rotate it, but I believe it would just snap back. Thoughts?
