Off-road Styling Bumpers

Has anyone seen in person these blackish bumpers called the "offroad styling" package? The dealer didn't have any examples in stock.

I live in the city where there is a lot of parallel parking "by braille." This leads to lots of little scratches on painted bumpers. I was wondering if this option would be a good way to "armor up" for city parking.

Specifically, I am wondering if they are a similar material to the blackish cladding of the wheel well trim, or are they more like a bumper painted a glossy black as they appear in some photos (and thus more prone to showing scars).

Thanks in advance for any info and experience.

They're glossy black painted plastic bumper covers, not unpainted cladding. Really wouldn't expect them to stand up to bumper taps and scuffs any better than your usual plastic bumpers. Cosmetic features more than anything.

Planned to choose it as an option. After checking at a dealership. I changed my mind. It looks that it is easy to get scratches

They are definitely a shiny/glossy black (like others have said) and really, it's just a styling choice if you like them or not... I *guess* you could plastidip those parts and that would give it some "durability" or "protection", but as is, it'll definitely show scratches pretty easily, IMO...

yes gloss black shows scratches more so then most other colors but this wouldn't them anymore then a black vehicle would.. and as mentioned would be easy to protect some with xpel, or the such

The black piece looks just a piece of plastic and thinner than the bumper. I wish I could choose the JCW Exterior Package for a Hybrid model
