How would I paint this aftermarket spoiler?

I am thinking about buying this from a Chinese dealership on ebay. A Duell AG style but they said it comes in unpainted white. Seem's like a stupid question but how would I paint it to match the same as my black gloss roof?

Take it to a body shop and have them paint it. They can look up the paint code.

Do you roughly know how much that could be?

Probably about $500. But it's easy to call around to a few places.

If you've got nerves of steel buy gloss black rattle can, practice on something throw-away and have at it.

Off the shelf paint won't match. Fit the part on your car before painting, then remove. Consider vinyl wrap in different color or carbon fiber look, a lot cheaper and you can easily change it.

You can DIY using spray cans from AutomotiveTouchup.com. The color match is spot on. I did my rear bumper and it came out great. A good color base coat and a few clear coats you are good to go. I would watch some videos on youtube on painting car panels first to get the technique down and practice on some small parts. The paint would cost about $60-70 with supplies.

here is the link to my thread when I painted the bumper about 2 years ago and it still looks good.

I found this carbon fiber version for $500 which I might get instead. The Duell does look very sexy.

Any unpainted part is going to need some prep, priming and painting. Dependent upon the quality of the moulding it may well need some filler too. Same applies with vinyl wrap - if the moulding is wavy its show up just as bad in a wrap as paint.

The risk of buying blind, especially from overseas.

I had excellent results painting the lower corner of one of my BMW's front bumpers with products from this company. HERE
