R60 CMs vs All4 weight

CMs vs All4 weight

Hi, anybody here knows the weight difference between CMs and All4? just wondering if the weight makes the All4 a little slower specially on start up. thanks.

It is a little heavier (don't know the exact numbers) but, it's the true 50/50 AWD off the line that makes it slower than a non ALL4.

But the All4 more than makes up for it when you are hammering corners and the rear end does not float or step out as a FWD vehicle is prone to do. You feel like a hero running the twisties in an All4 it stays put and the rear end rotates extremely well.

here are the "official" weights off the miniusa website, from left to right, cm, cms, cms all4



but, these are not absolute, as the full specs are not given, ie sunroof or no, leather or no etc etc

however, in general, and assuming the cars are speced the same, it looks like adding a turbo adds 99 pounds to a "justa", adding awd to a cms adds 155 pounds

wow 155lbs. its like another person riding with you all the time in your CMS. thanks for the info.

As previously stated the ALL4 is worth the extra lbs in overall driving experience.

Also, 154lbs weight gain for an AWD system is actually not that large, compared to other systems.
